The Joy of Kindle for ipad
I have not had so much joy reading a book as I do with the Kindle for ipad. As you may know, we acquired our first ipad October 2011, as we needed a great learning tool for our 3 yr old. You can read our articles on the ipad for children and the ipad programs for youngsters through our site below. The ipad has been an amazing experience. My other half has been in a book club for over 10 years and a Kindle or nook was on her birthday list. I downloaded both Kindle for ipad and Nook for ipad to the ipad2 to check them out and see which one I assumed made the grade, never did I believe Kindle for ipad or Nook for ipad would suffice compared against the particular device.
Like I do when I judge things, I put the two programs thru their steps on the ipad by reading a book, checking books out of the library, and so on. The 1st one I checked out was Kindle for ipad. Kindle for ipad was such a joy to read with, I read a whole book before checking out the Nook for ipad.
Reading on the Kindle for ipad
Reading books, especially big ones has always been unwieldy for me. After only 15 minutes of reading a book my hands are trying to work out the best way to hold the book, and it never appears easy. The Kindle for ipad lets me read a book one page or a two-page spread which I love. When reading at night, there are very good view options in Kindle for ipad that allow me to select white, black or sepia background and lightness settings. Reading in weak light or even complete darkness is straightforward.
Another great feature in Kindle for ipad is the "My Notes & Marks" feature that allows me to make notes, bookmark multiple places in a book, or highlight everything I desire.
But, the most extraordinary and helpful feature in the Kindle for ipad is the compendium. By placing a finger on any word in the book, The New Oxford American Dictionary pops up in a range of seven different languages. The dictionary includes fast links to see the word on google or Wikipedia. Knowing the definition of any word with a simple touch makes reading a joy.
Over Xmas, I even found reading in the auto during our 12 hour drive easy. Even on a nice day, whether reading in the auto while my better half drove or on the terrace while others were napping the ipad and Kindle delivered.
Checking Out Library Books on Kindle for ipad
Checking out library books on Kindle for ipad is an ease. By going to Overdrive, yes there's an app for that, I can simply use my neighbourhood lending library account to check out books that I want to read on Kindle. I can quickly search books on overdrive, find the book I want to check out, then have it downloaded in a few seconds thru amazon to my Kindle for for ipad. If the book is checked out I'm able to put it on a list and when it is available I receive an email it's available to be checked out. By placing books on hold, I mostly have new books coming available once I get one finished.
Reading books has always been fun for me but since finding Kindle they became an obsession. My favorite books are adventure, which whisk me off to a tale and place larger than life. Using Kindle for ipad I have a less complicated time concentrating, and the tools to make reading a cosy and super pleasurable experience that I am allowed take anywhere.
