After discussing the Setting Projection System On MapInfo, then we will discuss How to create layer tables from microsoft excel (excel import).
1. Provide your excel file, example: I have a point data path, which contains the Easting (X), Northing (Y), Point_ID, and Remark. Then I gave the name of this excel file with "Point_Road"
2. Open your MapInfo.
3. Select "File" menu, then select "Open" (Ctrl + O). Then find the location of your excel file.
4. Change "Files of type" to "Microsoft Excel (xls, xlsx)" , and on "Preferred View" choose "Current Mapper" (as you would open a file on an existing sheet). Then "Open".
5. In the "Excel Information" check the "Use Row Above Selected Range for Column Titles" if you want to make the first row in your excel file into the title of each column in the MapInfo table.
6. In the "Set field properties" select OK.
7. Your table has also been successful.
I hope this simple tutorial useful. MapInfo and wait for the next tutorial. Thank you
