A HTC Screen Protector is manufactured from thick rigid plastic-type that remains stiff when taken off their backing. They usually are not those horrible flimsy shields that fold over and get stuck to themselves. The anti-glare guard has a soft finish to it, while the clear one is smooth and feels nearly like the EVO's bare screen. For those that are not aware of, HTC actually make their own screen guards as well as amazing devices. Evaluators and reviewers were sent HTC’s screen protector for the Hero / G2 Touch (SP P260) to review.
Some were somewhat concerned about this particular review as they have tried installing screen protectors on phones before, with very awful results. Whether it's alignment issues or lots of bubbles caught under the plastic, often they have just finished up removing it altogether. The product comes packaged with two screen guards. As it is created by HTC, it is often custom designed for the Hero.
The particular application method was really easy. You should always be in a dust free area, clean the display screen and then gradually apply the guard all the way through. You aligned the top first to make certain it was straight and then slowly peeled off the plastic whilst making certain there were no bubbles. These guards don't need any liquid or anything else and it is much simpler for it. The Hero’s display screen has curved edges, but the plastic has straight edges. This means the edges overlap the curves partially. It’s not by much, but it would have been better if HTC had noted this small point. You can needless to say cut little curves yourself before applying the protector; some were half-way applying it when they noticed.
The end result is something you would be realistically be happy with. It is not perfect, but thinking about the results they have had in the past, you would in reality be pleased with the results. The corner has a little bubble, but the first thing is that the rest of it is sleek and bubble free. For those of you that could be wondering, the protector does in no way hinder the responsiveness of the touch screen. You would have found no distinction in navigating my G2 Touch from before applying the guard.
The HTC screen protector does a fantastic job of keeping your HTC Desire HD screen scratch free. You can truly extend the time of your device. You can purchase your very own for a good price at a good bargain. No cons really, except for the application process was a little more than you would have expected. The HTC EVO 4G's hard glass screen is already durable and resistant to scratches, but those who want to protect it anyway can pick up a pack of official Screen Protector on the market. Each pack includes one anti-glare and two clear screen covers, which is fairly the offer given that some companies charge a similar price for just one EVO screen shield.
